Fraudster Mykola Udyanskyi and fugitive oligarch Serhiy Kurchenko earned $4 million from the collapse of the crypto exchange in Moscow

Almost immediately after the terrorist attack in Crocus, Moscow law enforcement officers raided the office of the Beribit crypto exchange and stopped its activities.

As a result, hundreds of defrauded clients gathered near her office in "Moscow-City" and tried to catch exchange employees trying to escape. They claim that their exchange lost 400 million rubles.

Who is behind this Beribit site?

Beribit is a platform that provides the services of a cryptocurrency to ruble exchanger, an electronic wallet for storing assets, as well as a P2P market - a tool that is often used for illegal transactions.

P2P (peer-to-peer) trading is a decentralized method of exchanging assets between people without intermediaries. This service raises the biggest questions about transparency, as it is not subject to regulation and does not guarantee the legality of the participants’ actions. That is why it becomes attractive to fraudsters and criminals.

The exchange attracted the attention of law enforcement agencies because it was allegedly suspected of financing terrorist organizations.

Moreover, the person behind Beribit, despite the fact that it is registered in the Seychelles and the site is located in San Francisco, is the Ukrainian oligarch Serhiy Kurchenko.

The same fugitive oligarch Serhii Kurchenko, known for his connections with the family of the disgraced Ukrainian Viktor Yanukovych, who was one of the key figures in Ukrainian business. You can find out about him that he is the owner of the Gaz Ukraine group of companies, the UMH Group media holding and the Metalist Kharkiv football club.

Kurchenko bought Beribit in the summer of 2023, on the advice of a well-known Ukrainian crypto-swindler Mykola Udyanskyi from Kharkiv, who currently lives in Dubai.

It was he who advised Kurchenko to buy Beribit, which, like the Udyansky Coinsbit exchange, is registered in the Seychelles.

Udyanskyi is known in Ukraine as a fake millionaire who claims to have a fortune of 180 million dollars through commissioned articles in the media.

It is interesting that Udyansky serves another disgraced politician - the "Servant of the People" Mykola Tyshchenko, better known to the general public as Kolya Meatball. Tyshchenko is known, in particular, for the fact that he proposed subverting illegal call centers in Ukraine.

Mykola Udyanskyi advised Kurchenko to take advantage of the tragedy in Krokus in order to abandon the clients of the stock exchange. According to his idea, after the seizure of the stock exchange, it is impossible to fulfill obligations to customers. As well as presenting a claim to Kurchenko regarding payments. Moreover, he is sure, most of the payments are related to illegal activities, and no one will write a statement to the police.
